Wednesday, 5 April 2006, has been one of the most important days in the process of time of Fundacion Amador and the Biodiversity Museum.
Early in the morning, a meeting was convened with the new members of the Board of Directors of Fundacion Amador.
Following the meeting, a ceremony was held for the signature of the Credit Contract between the Consortium of Private Banks (Banistmo, Banco General, Global Bank, Banco Continental and Banco Cuscatlán) and Fundacion Amador. President Martin Torrijos Espino was the witness of this significant act.
This credit, for the amount of $30.5 million dollars, together with the $4.6 millions of the credit line that the Government will disburse through IPAT, will be the principal that will be used for the construction of the building that will host the Museum of Biodiversity. The re-initiation of the construction is planned for the middle of may.
With these two activities the first necessary steps have been done to give a new and definitive impulse to the realization of this project that will be of great importance in the development of our country, Panama, and a construction development milestone in the Isthmus.
To close this article, we have to emphasize other important points of inflexion that have marked Panama Puente de Vida: Museo de la Biodiversidad: in first place, this project has been gestated through three consecutive governments, proving that here is Panama can be developed State Projects.
The other outstanding point is that this project in conjunction with the Government and the private sector, show the good relationship that is existing between these two sectors and that it is possible to work together, like this museum that will be a national success and something that all the Panamanians will be proud to legate to forthcoming generations.
